Derby Diversity Week (DDW) is proud to have hosted the fifth annual Derby Diversity Awards in 2023. Know an individual who has been a champion of making an impact on Diversity in one of these three areas: People, Processes, Products & Services? If yes, we want to recognize them! Derby Diversity Week will be presenting 15 awards to businesses or individuals who have made outstanding impacts on improving Diversity as noted below:
*A business does not have to be diverse-owned to be considered for recognition of their efforts in advancing diversity for People, Processes, and Products and Services.
• People-An innovative solution for increasing diversity for people: Two awards (One for a business owner and one for Corporation)
• Processes-Creative solution that has moved the needle forward on Equity & Inclusion: Two awards (One for the business owner and one for Corporation)
• Products & Services-Leading-edge solution that advances diversity, inclusion, and equity: Two awards (One for the business owner and one for Corporation)
• Corporation of The Year: One Award
• Diverse Owned Business of The Year: One Award
• Non-Diverse Business Leader of The Year: One Award -(Leader in allyship)
• Government Partner of The Year: One Award
• Non-Profit/Non-Government Organization of The Year:One Award
• Greatest Ally Award: One Award presented to someone who represents leadership in being an Ally to diversity initiatives, even though that individual is not part of the group they are championing. This award is selected from the nominees, but is selected separately from the other categories above.
• Community and Equity Champion: One Award presented to someone who has gone above and beyond their organization’s own initiatives towards Equity, and reached out into the community to build a more equitable world. This award is selected from the nominees, but is selected separately from the other categories above.
• Isaac Murphy Lifetime Achievement Award:Two Awards presented to outstanding Champions moving the needle on Diversity. This is a non-competitive award (not selected from nominees) and is selected by the Derby Diversity Week leadership team.
